  • Do I really need insurance ?

    Its up to you.
    Insurance is not
    legally necessary to look after pets in your own home.
    Without insurance you will be liable for anything bad that happens.
    For instance, a dog in your care slips its collar and chases a horse, causing the rider to fall off and be badly injured. Do you want to risk the legal costs and damages that could result?
    For instance, the veterinary costs if a dog in your care gets hit by a car? Even the most careful petsitter can have accidents!
    For instance, you lose a client's keys, and have to pay for all the locks to be replaced.
    How much is your peace of mind worth?

  • How much will my insurance cost ?

    Insurance is included with membership of Petsitters Alliance.
    Most petsitters need Individual Standard Membership which costs £79 per annum
    If you do your petsitting in the owner's home, you will need Homesitting Membership to cover accidents or mishaps in the owner's home. Homesitting Membership costs £95 per annum.
    Agencies can cover themselves and all their petsitters. Cost depends on the number of petsitters.

  • How many dogs will I get from the Booking Exchange ?
    • This depends entirely on how many clients are referred to us in your area, and the type of petsitter they would like.

  • How much will I get when I send pets to the Booking Exchange ?

You will get £1 per day for each day of the booking.

  • How much will I get when I receive pets from the Booking Exchange ?

    It will partly depend on the area you are in.
    Petsitters in Central London are paid more than Outer London and Surrey.

    Our average payment to petsitters is £11 per day.

  • Can I send you my rejects ?

    Absolutely not.
    We do not accept pets that are unsuitable for petsitter's homes.
    This includes especally dogs that are aggressive, not house-trained, or do not have proper vaccinations, flea and worm treatments.
